Editor's note: Eve wanted to do something special with her Mythic Mahjong review, and it's so unique, we couldn't resist letting her! Mythic Mahjong from Oberon Games and Alawar Entertainment challenges you to wield magical abilities as you attempt to recover the life-giving gems a dragon stole from the fairy realm. While the tile-matching gameplay will be familiar to fans of the genre, the addition of magic adds a delightful twist. We also think you'll find the game all the more engaging for its Story mode. And now, Eve's review:

Beautiful puzzles, fairies and magic. It's Mythic Mahjong, with a tale that's tragic! Your quest begins in the Forest of Fae, with your guardian wizard who helps guide the way. With 165 layouts to explore, the magic you'll have fancied will leave you wanting more! The magic empowers your tiles indeed, to fend off the beasties -- this you'll need!

Watch as the tiles come alive before you, as your travels through the realms of Fae continue. Soon you'll be in Elven Wood City, where the evening lights glimmer and the music is pretty. Before you know it, you'll be at the dragon's door, then face to face until he is no more!

Free the jewels in each game, for the layouts aren't the same. Use Dragon's Breath to free the tiles, if you wish to pass without going the miles. With no timer you'll most enjoy, the enchantingly beautiful music employed. And those lovely sparkles dripping from your wand, to magically match pairs creates a mystical bond!

Whether you're in a mystical mood or wish to puzzle through fast, Mythic Mahjong's journey will be one you'll wish will last!

Kudos has to be given to GoGii for tackling a unique theme instead of piggy-backing a concept that's already been done.
